Tailored grace.
Being a saint isn’t a level you reach. It’s who God says you are. A sale suit fits everyone roughly; a tailored suit is made for you. God’s grace is made to measure.

Substitutes.
Rescued from Egypt, Israel still built a golden calf. An idol is anything you trust to do God’s job. A substitute can be good. It just can’t be God.
“A substitute is a god you can hold. The real God is the one who holds you.”

A THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
Peter doesn’t say “be holy so God will call you.” He says the One who called you is holy. The calling comes first. Holiness isn’t how we earn grace, it’s how we respond to it.
